Health and Safety
Health and Safety is often regarded as the dull part of staff training. Staff often feel insulted and patronised when they’re taught how to use a ladder or how to pick up a box properly.
We understand this negative reaction, but we also understand that an estimated 1.6 million accidents occur each year in the workplace with a cost to industry of around £700m.
So how do you hold an audience’s attention and make them take the issue seriously? We believe that producing dramas with strong characters and emotive storylines will hold an audience’s attention – and that’s half the battle won.
Our experience is that in an H&S training session (and we know that that can be as little as a one hour session in a person’s entire induction), a powerful 10-minute drama followed by a discussion will cover most of the core H&S issues.
Our most recent Health and Safety programme for Selfridges was so successful it was recently licenced to Debenhams while they plan their own version.
